Girl Road Trip- a few photos

September 28, 2008

I’m trying to be good- get stuff done WAAAAY ahead of when they are due.  I’ve finished DD’s Halloween costume– all but the hem.  Mine is partially done- I decided to go ahead and keep working soley on hers once I got past the yokes.

We are also making Halloween t-shirts from the recent Family Fun magazine.  Cute, not hard.  We are finished dying and are now washing- DD is anxious to see how it turned out!!

Ok- while I’m waiting for spaghetti noodles to cook, I’ll show you a few photos from the trip. I WILL recap the whole thing- I swear.

Vehicles in a junk yard. Only in Alabama would one see a school bus, a trolley and a boat, side-by-side. An FYI- there was a tractor trailer to the right!!

GIRL ROAD TRIP!!

September 22, 2008

Well, today is the first day of Fall, school has been in session for a few weeks, and I’ve been back from my trip for a week.

The trip- that was the big tour of France, then it was going to be Scotland, then a road trip through the Bayou.  Until Hurricane Gustav, which threw a wrench into the plans- AGAIN.

So, my stepmom and I got in her car and drove from Atlanta to Alabama, to Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio (and back to Atlanta).  Over a span of 12 days- and 2,000+ miles.

It was GREAT fun- we had a general idea of where we were going to go, but we were very loose and adaptable.  As we went we met people, talked to them, got advice, and traveled from there.

I’ll update this post and list all the places I visited- right now the HEROES preview and season premiere is on!!!  Gotta go………
